ScoutMySpot monitors recreation booking systems in real time. When a spot opens due to cancellation or drop, we alert you instantly so you can register.
You get the alert, click the link, and book directly with your city. We don’t register for you.
❓ Does ScoutMySpot work even when the city has no waitlist?
Yes. ScoutMySpot is specifically built for cities without waitlists or notifications. We monitor actual availability – if a spot exists, we catch it.
❓ Is this legal? Will my account get blocked?
Yes. ScoutMySpot does not bypass logins, manipulate inventory, scrape private data, or automate purchases.
We only monitor publicly visible availability, just like a human refreshing the page, but faster. Cities cannot block users for viewing their own public pages.
It actually helps cities. By filling spots that would otherwise go empty due to last-minute cancellations, ScoutMySpot improves program utilization and maximizes revenue for recreation centres.
❓ How often do spots really open up?
More often than you think. Early data shows that cancellations happen daily, often at night, lunch time, or 1–2 days before the program starts. A significant number of “sold out” programs have multiple openings appear during the week. The issue is you might never see them in time.
❓ Why do I need instant alerts?
Because openings usually get taken within 2–4 minutes. If you get notified after 15 minutes or an hour, the spot is often already gone. Those who get instant alerts win the spots.

❓ What types of activities can ScoutMySpot monitor?
We track thousands of recreational activities offered by municipal recreation centres, including swimming lessons, skating classes for all ages, badminton lessons, karate programs for children and teens, pickleball, basketball, soccer, piano and guitar lessons, pottery and art classes, cooking programs, and even Dungeons and Dragons sessions for pre-teens. If your city's recreation department offers it, chances are we're monitoring it.
❓ Does ScoutMySpot work for adults too?
Yes! Many adult programs also sell out (fitness classes, pickleball, tennis courts, community workshops). ScoutMySpot can monitor those as well.
❓ What happens if two people get the alert at the same time?
Everyone gets the alert simultaneously, but whoever clicks and completes registration first gets the spot. We simply ensure you know immediately when an opening exists.
